Our DAY-cation to Blue Bell Creamery

Jaime had the day off, so we decided to take the boys on a day-cation to the Blue Bell cremery in Brenham, TX. This was their first visit and they had so much fun! The tour was great and we learned all about how to make the ice cream and how it was packaged. Of course the best part, was the free scoop of ice cream at the end! After the tour , we ate at a cute little sandwich shoppe, called Must Be Heaven! Nicholas bragged about his turkey sandwich all day!! Yum!

Next off to the Blue Bell Aquatic Center where we slide down a huge waterslide and splashed around for a few hours.

Trip back home was a quiet one, as the boys were tuckered out!! It was a great day!!

Tulsa Trip 2009

Our yearly trip to see the Setmeyers! Nicholas and I dropped off brother at Gigi's & Papa D's house. Nicholas and I drove up early on a friday morning and got to Setmeyers house in early afternoon. Off to the pool with our friends! Saturday we were off to see the movie UP and more swimming. Saturday night, we got to go out to dinner (no kids), a little gambling and then to listen to music at the Riverwalk. Beautiful weather all weekend and the kids really enjoyed themselves. Sunday, Wally took us to a waterpark, where we had a picnic and then down the waterslides. Our visit seemed too short, but we will be back next year! Thank you Setmeyers for such a fun weekend! Love you guys!

Beach fun!

During Easter weekend, Melissa & Brandy and I took the kids to Galveston for the day! It was a beautiful day..sunny & windy! Our friend Brooke came with us and had a fun time playing with the babies. The kids enjoyed lunch on the beach, building sandcastles, flying kites and jumping in and out of the water!!

The IKE vacation....

Well, it was coming.. Hurricane Ike and we just couldn't stay. You could say I am a fraidy cat when it comes to storms. And they said this was going to be THE storm of the year. So, Jaime and I loaded up the kids (and Toby too) and drove to San Antonio. We arrived late at my friend Pam's house. She welcomed all of us and even the dog. The weekend was gorgeous- weather was beautiful, sunny and even breezy! That saturday, we took the boys (and Pam) to Breckenridge Park to ride the train, to the Japanese sunken garden and down to the Riverwalk. The weekend was so relaxing, even though we were worried about our friends and family back in Houston. Needless to say, we had an unexpected vacation with the kids and had an enjoyable time staying at my friends' house. Then, back to Houston......

Girls Gone WILD!

No, not really...but had a blast visiting my BFF in San Antonio. Pam was a teammate of mine at Pine Forest. She moved to SA to work for her old company and really loves it! Stephanie, Lindsey, Pam and I had a blast- shopping, sleeping in late and partying down at the riverwalk saturday night! She even had a cute little puppy, Bella, that we played with all weekend. It was a fun filled weekend and can't wait for our next visit!

Family Vacation time!

Our first family vacation of the year and we decided to go to Sea World. The boys had a wonderful time and so did we! Our first stop, was the Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch resort right near Sea World.

The first day we arrived, we spent at the pool enjoying the waterslides, lazy river and the gorgeous indoor/outdoor pool. That night, we reserved a fire pit down at the pavillion and made smore's- yum!! Friday was spent at Sea World, where Gabriel & Nicholas enjoyed the dolphins, bulooga whales and of course Shamu! Most of the day was spent in the water, Nicholas & Jaime spending most of their time jumping waves at the wave pool!! On the way out of the parking lot, Gabriel kept saying "Bye Hamu, Bye Hamu" and waving his little hand at his new found friend.

Today, we traveled down to see the Alamo, the Magic Mirror maze, and the Rivercenter where we enjoyed a delicious Dairy Queen dipped cone down by the riverwalk. Our trip was short, but jam packed of good times, memories and lots of fun! We will go back soon to see our friend Shamu! Or as Gabriel calls him "Hamu"!

Back from Millie's house!

We had a great trip to Oklahoma! The kids (all four of them) were so good in the car. My friend Yoconda went with me and we made some stops on the way. Our first stop was half way in Dallas. The kids needed the break and so did we!
Finally got to OK thursday at 3pm. Rested and then off to the pool!! Friday, I got my hair chopped and the girls shopped & ate! Movies, more swimming, and picture taking completed our weekend. Thanks to Wally (our other hubby) for having us there for 5days. I enjoyed the trip, it was a nice drive and we will go back! Miss you Setmeyers!
