Girls Gone WILD!

No, not really...but had a blast visiting my BFF in San Antonio. Pam was a teammate of mine at Pine Forest. She moved to SA to work for her old company and really loves it! Stephanie, Lindsey, Pam and I had a blast- shopping, sleeping in late and partying down at the riverwalk saturday night! She even had a cute little puppy, Bella, that we played with all weekend. It was a fun filled weekend and can't wait for our next visit!

My sweet Kindergarten boy...

Well, today was his first day at "big" school. Last night I was thinking back on all those memories of him as a little boy. And now he is growing up! Nicholas enjoyed his class and loves his teacher, Mrs. Cahill. She really is a great match for Nicholas and her personality is loving, fun & very similar to mine. I asked Nicholas what he liked about school today, he said " well, we got to go outside to recess, and I got to be the restroom monitor. I had to tell Mrs. Cahill which kids were talking." Besides from being shy, he really had a fun day. I asked if he will go back tomorrow and he said, "well, I guess. I really had fun, especially at the YMCA!" Nicholas goes to the Y after school for an hour until I can pick him up to hang out in my room.
And another day tomorrow..we are both looking forward to it. Here are some pictures from today- if you notice one where he is bent over to the side, Jaime took this one because it resembles all the "first day of school" pics my mom took of me when I was young..I was always posing w/ hands on hip!

A big splash!!

Well, we couldn't end the summer without a big splash!! Jaime and I took the kids one more time to Sea World this week. We stayed at our cousin Mary Lou's house- she was a wonderful hostess! We arrived late Tues night and got tucked right in! Our day started early with pancakes and bacon that ML made us. Then off to Shamu world!
Straight to the water park, Nicholas and Jaime dove straight into the wave pool! Nicholas loves this part and the waves are only active for 8minutes! Gabriel and I just sunbathe in the kiddie area waiting for Nick & Jaime to finish. Then Jaime and I tried our best to get Nicholas to go down a waterslide...with much hesitation, he finally tried the big Sidewinder! This was a ride on a tube that holds two people. So, Jaime and Nick went on the ride and from then on, Nicholas was sliding down every water slide he could get on!!
We were really proud of him for trying new things! You could tell he was proud of himself too! Even Gabriel went down the slide (a much smaller one) sitting on Jaime's lap- boy, he thought he was "hot" stuff!
Two days of splashing around and walking the park, we are now back and getting geared up for school. I guess its "see you later hamu" until next summer!
